Nomic × Newsoft: How Nomic Accelerated Its Roadmap

Category:
Digests
Date:
September 7, 2026

Nomic is an AI startup building agentic systems that accelerate design, engineering, and construction.
‍

Newsoft has been working with Nomic for more than a year and a half. Our collaboration starts with one product designer and grows into an embedded product and engineering team working directly with Nomic’s US-based engineers.

‍

During this time, Nomic’s Founder and CEO, Andriy Mulyar, visits our Lviv office twice. On his second visit, we hold product roadmap sessions with the team and record a conversation about his experience working with Newsoft.

‍

In this video, Nomic Founder and CEO Andriy Mulyar shares how the collaboration developed, why he changed his view on remote engineering teams, and how the embedded Newsoft team supports Nomic’s product roadmap and growth.

The Roadmap Bottleneck

‍

Growing startups often have more critical work on their roadmap than their internal team can deliver. Core technology, urgent customer requests, and production infrastructure take priority, while integrations and product improvements remain unfinished. When prospective customers depend on these capabilities, the result can be delayed contracts and revenue.

‍

Nomic faces this challenge as its platform and customer base grow. Through Newsoft’s Team Augmentation service, its internal engineers remain focused on the platform’s core technology, while the Newsoft team takes ownership of integrations and other product areas that require additional capacity.

‍

«The team in the US focuses on client-facing capabilities and the core capabilities of our infrastructure. The team in Ukraine focuses on making sure that our entire integration roadmap is nailed down. All the things falling behind in our product roadmap, they help pick up and deliver.»

Andriy Mulyar, Founder and CEO of Nomic

Starting with Product Design

‍

The collaboration starts with a product designer rather than a full engineering team.

‍

At that stage, Nomic does not yet have an established product design function. The work begins with a full review and redesign of the product experience, covering its screens and workflows from the ground up.

‍

The designer works closely with Nomic’s in-house software engineers instead of operating as a separate external resource. This connects design decisions directly with technical implementation and real product needs.

‍

According to Andriy, this helps take Nomic’s product design “from zero to one.”

‍

“Within two months, customers were telling us that they loved our product because of how well it was designed.”

‍

For an AI platform, good design also means making complex workflows clear and controllable. The product designer creates an interface that helps both everyday users and administrators manage files, conversations, workflows, teams, and integrations without unnecessary complexity.

‍

From One Specialist to an Embedded Team

‍

The product design engagement allows both teams to establish how they work together before expanding the collaboration.

‍

After the initial results, Nomic scales the engagement into a broader product and engineering team. Today, four Newsoft specialists work as part of Nomic’s team, collaborating directly with its US-based engineers across the stack.

‍

The time-zone difference also supports the workflow. By the time the US team starts its day, the team in Ukraine has already been working for several hours, with pull requests ready for review.

‍

As Andriy explains:

‍

“They work fully embedded with our software engineers.”

‍

Before working with Newsoft, Andriy believes that the best engineers need to work in the same room and in the same country. This partnership is also his first experience using a remote Team Augmentation model to support product and engineering delivery.

‍

His view changes as the collaboration develops:

‍

“We took the risk, and it paid off massively for Nomic.”

‍

Engineering Behind Nomic’s Enterprise AI Platform

‍

Building an enterprise AI platform requires more than integrating language models. Nomic must securely connect to company data, keep files synchronized, manage access, maintain production reliability, and generate trustworthy AI responses.

‍

Enterprise Integrations and Synchronization

The team builds a unified integration layer for Google Drive, SharePoint, Egnyte, Autodesk Construction Cloud, and other providers. A hybrid system combines real-time updates, intelligent polling, and automatic recovery to keep files synchronized across different platforms.

‍

Security and Production Reliability

Provider-specific OAuth flows, encrypted credential storage, token management, and SSO support enterprise access requirements. Distributed tracing and structured error reporting help engineers identify and resolve production issues faster.

‍

Grounded AI and Controllable Workflows

A RAG-based assistant using Claude, OpenAI, and AWS Bedrock retrieves information from connected company documents before generating answers. Clear separation between workflow configuration and execution gives users more visibility and control over AI actions.

‍

From Delivery to Business Impact

‍

With additional ownership across integrations, product design, and infrastructure, Nomic moves more of its roadmap forward and delivers capabilities required by prospective customers.

‍

Andriy connects this work directly to commercial results:

‍

“Because of the team at Newsoft, we closed several customers because we had the product roadmap that we needed.”

‍

The progress also supports Nomic’s recent funding rounds:

‍

“It has been a massive accelerant to the growth of the company.”

‍

For Nomic, Team Augmentation is not simply a way to add more people. It gives the right specialists ownership of important product areas and expands what the company can deliver.

‍

As Andriy puts it:

‍

“If you’re not working with Newsoft, you’re leaving both product roadmap and money on the table.”

‍

Move Your Product Roadmap Forward

‍

If important parts of your product roadmap keep falling behind, Newsoft’s Team Augmentation model can provide the additional ownership your team needs while keeping its focus on the core product.
