We built a Try Before You Buy solution for shoppers and Shopify brands.

Transforming the customer’s home into a fitting room while handling payments, order tracking, and risk management behind the scenes.

To support this, we engineered a robust, high-performance system capable of processing real-time Shopify updates, integrating seamlessly with existing non-Shopify infrastructure, and handling large volumes of orders with speed and reliability. We designed and developed the entire API layer from scratch, introduced a serverless microservices architecture deployed on AWS Lambda, and built a custom GraphQL client to streamline development and ensure consistency across services.

As the product evolved, we expanded the platform into a more advanced, event-driven system — introducing reliable webhook processing.

Improving inter-service communication, and enabling near real-time synchronization with Shopify. We implemented direct integrations using Shopify’s Deferred Purchase APIs to support native checkout flows while maintaining control over payments and risk management.

The system was continuously optimized for performance, scalability, and reliability, with consistently high test coverage and ongoing improvements to query efficiency and service orchestration. This foundation allowed the product to scale across multiple stores, support growing order volumes, and quickly roll out new TryNow capabilities with minimal overhead.
